Anxiety
Anxiety counseling is very often confused with panic attacks. Panic attacks have a physiological basis, whereas anxiety is a cognitive based mental health disorder. The treatments for both are quite different and it is important to be diagnosed properly so that you can be treated effectively. If you are a patient who is experiencing panic attacks we will teach you how to recognize those physiological factors that can produce panic reactions and learn how to control same. With anxiety, we will teach you how environmental factors will affect you cognitively and also produce similar physiological symptoms as in panic attacks. By learning the difference and learning how to change these negative thoughts, you will be able to control your negative physiological responses to the environment. Remember it is not the environment that causes anxiety but your perception of the environment that causes anxiety. We can help change this.
