Assertiveness Training
There are times in everyone's life when we wish we had said or done something more effective after the incident or confrontation is over. When this pattern is consistently repeated and you feel as if you are not acting effectively, you probably are in need of assertiveness training.
The staff at WCBT is available to help you learn how to differentiate between passivity, aggressiveness and assertiveness. To be assertive is to appropriately express your feelings and learn how to hear what others are feeling. You will learn how to get other people to respect you. Although you will not always get what you want, you will feel that others are hearing you and that you are an integral part of the dialogue. You do not have to be a passive observer of life. Learn how to be an active participant.
